Jewelry making is one of my hobbies. I have been doing it since I was a child. I recently made a batch of earrings and will most likely give them as gifts to people. I chose a couple styles and made several pairs of each.

No, no, no. How do you attach them to the ear hook? How do you make them? They are amazing. Come on, share your secrets...?

Oh, i missed this back in May......I use sterling silver wire because it has a nice look and is pliable. I attach the finished earring to the hook very carefully using an old pair of hemostats to bend and shape the wire. You have to be careful with sterling silver wire because it will break off on you if you bend it too much. For simple earrings that are just beads you use something called a headpin, that is flat on one side to keep the beads from falling off...you bend the top of wire after you have the beads on in a curl shape, slip on the earring hook and gently bend the top of your headpin to form a circle.
About.com has a really good forum on jewelry making and step by step instructions on how to make a variety of projects. I highly recommend their site and it's free!
