My younger sister and I have discovered that we believe very similarly. I was always open about my beliefs when she had questions, but she never told me what her spirituality centered around until recently. I have become her spiritual go-to person. And I am happy with that. I feel good knowing that we can have this personal connection.
So her 17th birthday was on the 28th and she loves stones and rocks. My brother and I bought her 12 new stones that she did not have, including Maine Tourmaline and a ruby (both rough and definitly not perfect) and a book called The Crystal Bible, which I have found to be a great book full of interesting information about all the stones that she could ever need. She LOVED her gift! My sister spent the whole day reading the book and playing with the stones.
I am reminded that magic is all around us and that magic includes the joy that spreads across someone's face when they receive the perfect gift. Magic is also when someone that you love shares the same interests as yourself, giving you the opportunity to become closer still.
So I am starting a new and interesting thread:
Everyday Magic.
If you experience a bit of magic in a portion of your everyday life, feel free to post that little bit here.

That's an awesome story.
Mostly I notice it in the weather and changing of the seasons. Just yesterday I noticed that the sun is rising later in the day. I've also noticed that the shadows are different at night when I come home but the timing of the sunset I haven't noticed as much.

I have been babysitting for my granddaughter, Hayden, a couple of days a week. Being around her is wonderful and magical. She is discovering the world around her and I am reminded of the simple things in daily life. Such things as eating veggies and fruit, playing with stuffed animals, petting the cat and playing outside in the backyard and napping are things that I have been concentrating on with Hayden. She is very healthy and happy and just seeing her smile and laugh really brightens my day and reminds me that magic is all around me all the time and I just need to slow down and stop to experience it.

Children have a way of making us see the world a whole different way and letting us know it's still there, we just need to open our eyes and LOOK.

I've been working at a youth center all summer long and I will be working there until next August. I've been cooking for them every day and another little bit of magic that I get to experience frequently is the use of "please" and "thank you". At the youth center I play chef and server, so I am rushing around constantly trying to make sure that everyone has gotten fed or has enough water. Hearing "thank you so much Kali, this is really good" at least once a day has made me really appreciate those kind words that everyone should say and most of us forget to use.

I also cook at a youth center, but only once a month. Yesterday on my (very cold) morning walk about 100 common red polls flew and hopped from tree to tree parallel to the road all of the way home. When I reached the corner of my property they all winged their way into the yard and were waiting for me in the maple trees and all over the ground. I assumed they would stick around to eat some bird seed that I scatter on the ground every day but they all left as soon as I went inside.
