Unfortunately, we have the type of free forum that sticks us with cheesy, embarrassing ads at the top of our boards.
The current one isn't so bad. What's your credit score? Generally the ads seem to cater to the keywords of the board created, so it's nice that It* recognizes that pagans, too, have financial issues.
*I have no idea what It may be.

It would be the giant brain in A Wrinkle In Time, natch. The thing that I have always suspected is behind the Internet. When I opened this thread, in fact, It was trying to rope me in with an offer to earn an Internet Marketing Certificate. Sounds like Light Body nonsense to me. As I post, though, It is once again offering me my credit score. How kind. Edited to add: ooh! My favorite! Shaiya's "Choose Your Goddess"!

OK, I just got the "Real Wishes, Power of 8" ad. Only one question: Does this "power" have anything to do with this?

A striking number of ads the last couple of days about the health care bill(s). Interesting newswise, but b-o-o-o-r-r-r-i-n-g-g-g-g as ad copy. Not much snark potential either - at least none that you can't get by opening any blog. Bleah.
It's probably just that I have too many cookies from said blogs in my browser.

NEED CHILDCARE? FIND AN AU PAIR!
How do you do it, ad bot?

On the other hand...
"Google business center" with a map apparently of New York, which is decidedly not local. Followed, at the top of the posting page, with an ad for the Washington Post.
So it doesn't check quite everything. At least not all the time.

How did IT know I had just visited the Vitamin Shoppe website and how did IT know that I had been looking at oil?
I don't like IT. Now it is offering me car insurance from my city!

Holy freaking hell!
At least you didn't get the terrifying one of Jesus' eyes close up, staring into the pits of your soul, convincing you to find 'Jesus Spirituality'.

"Lose 52 pounds following one rule..." ...accompanied by a bushel basket of what appears to be coal. No more funky diets. I mean it.

It has to be able to "see" what is in our cookies.
I just had a Penney"s ad pop in after a Patriots Proshop ad.

Boring Vonage ad that has nothing to do with me, and therefore cannot make me obssess far into the night about hidden symbols and Universal messages. I guess now I'll just have to rely on yesterday's Jehovah Witness and his creepy Psalms quote. Way to drop the ball, Bot.

OK so I've been trying to find out if anyone else on the Internet reports a fear concerning anyone's occupation (excepting dentists, I know about that, and maybe lawyers), and as a result Google thinks I'm looking for a Realtor, this site thinks I'm looking for a Realtor, MSN thinks I'm...you get the picture... ...what is scary is what sorts of searches brought that up... Incidentally, it appears I am one of maybe three people, not counting the fictional character that accounts for most of the results, so...kinda a wash. Edited to add: Time to clear my cookies methinks...
